Kunstlicht Event Lighting is based in Hamburg (Süderstraße 114, 20537 Hamburg) and plans, delivers, installs and supports lighting for festivals, corporate events, Christmas markets, weddings and light installations.

We are based in Hamburg, but we work throughout Germany. Our equipment is portable and pre-configured, so we realise projects across northern Germany and beyond – from festivals and corporate events to Christmas markets and permanent installations.

Four areas, all as a full service including setup, support and teardown:

For open-air and music festivals, Corporate events such as summer parties and anniversaries, Christmas markets and winter events, outdoor weddings, cultural events as well as permanent installations at company sites, universities, villas and clubs.

Yes. For Christmas markets, ice rinks, winter events and courtyards we create canopies of light, tree lighting, illuminated pathways with LED lanterns and atmospheric area lighting – including planning, installation for the season and teardown. Find out more under Winter lighting.

Yes. Under Permanent installations & construction projects we plan and realise permanent or long-term lighting for façades, outdoor areas, clubs, universities and villas – from mood boards and 3D visualisations through mounting heights and glare-free aiming to operating and maintenance plans.

Costs depend on the area, duration, amount of equipment, number of fixtures, power supply and on-site support – so there are no flat rates.

After a short description of your event, location and dates we prepare a no-obligation quote with a concrete proposal. The contact form also lets you upload site plans and mark the area on the map.

The earlier the better – especially for festivals and large sites where planning, power concept and permits take time.

For rental installations and designer lamps, short-notice enquiries are also possible because the setups are proven and can be installed within a few hours. If in doubt, just ask – we'll tell you honestly what's feasible.

Yes, that's our standard. We deliver the equipment pre-configured, set it up, run cables and power distribution, program the scenes, support the lighting during the event and dismantle everything afterwards. Spare units and on-the-spot adjustments are part of the service.

Atmospheric LED floodlights for open areas, trees and façades, battery-powered and cabled pathway lights, lanterns and bollard lights for safe pathways, light columns, illuminated umbrellas for lounges and bars, plus distribution boards and circuit protection for tidy power runs. We match colours to your brand or surroundings, and scenes are dimmable.

Yes. For pathways, lounges and entrances we use battery-powered LED lanterns and fixtures that are placed without any cabling. For larger areas and floodlights we plan the power supply with distribution boards, redundant runs and circuit protection – or coordinate with the venue's power provider.

Our outdoor equipment is designed for use outside and is weatherproof. We build installations modular, easy to service and securely anchored so they run reliably for the entire event – at festivals that means several days and nights.

Projection mapping is the precisely fitted projection of images, videos or animations onto façades, stages or objects. Kunstlicht plans and realises projection mapping including cut masks, media server setup and integration into the lighting console – for festivals, corporate events and building illuminations. Yes. One example is the Lumino Walk at the MS Dockville Festival: a walk-through field of LED light columns covering around 10 × 10 metres that reacts to visitors via motion sensors and ran autonomously for three festival days. We develop such installations individually or offer proven setups for rent.

Available for rent are, among others, battery-powered Kunstlicht lanterns with coloured LED rods, light ring masts as landmarks, illuminated umbrella ensembles for lounges, light disc masts and LED light columns for pathways and open areas.

Yes. Up to five files of max. 10 MB each can be attached in the contact form (PDF, JPG, PNG, ZIP, Office documents). You can also mark the event site directly on a map or enter an address. Larger files can be sent via a WeTransfer link.
